A PERSONAL approach

 

1 John 4:1

King James Version

4 Beloved, 

believe not every spirit, 

but try the spirits whether they are of God: 

because many false prophets 

are gone out into the world.

I don't know about you, but my worship of GOD has always been simple, private, and quiet.

It's the way GOD made me.

Wherein I study quietly, pray in private, and share simply.

You will not see me at huge congregations, waving my arms, and all that.

Somehow, I just never could.

I'm still waiting for JESUS to direct me to a church I can go to.

For now, I pray, study, and share quietly.

I don't turn to man for answers.

I turn to GOD.

I turn to Scripture.

I wait for SPIRIT to direct me.

I'm not into trends, crowds, mass hysteria.

I pray to JESUS to please show me my sins.

To please reveal to me His will.

And I ask forgiveness for sins known, and unknown.

My personal approach at worship conforms to these verses:

Matthew 6:1-4

King James Version

6 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, 

to be seen of them: 

otherwise ye have no reward of your Father 

which is in heaven.

2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms,

 do not sound a trumpet before thee, 

as the hypocrites do in the synagogues 

and in the streets,

 that they may have glory of men. 

Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3 But when thou doest alms, 

let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4 That thine alms may be in secret: 

and thy Father which seeth in secret 

himself shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:5-6

5 And when thou prayest, 

thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: 

for they love to pray standing in the synagogues 

and in the corners of the streets, 

that they may be seen of men. 

Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

pray to thy Father which is in secret; 

and thy Father which seeth in secret

Psalm 11:3

3 If the foundations be destroyed, 

what can the righteous do?

Why are churches in decline today?

Why are people throwing out Christian values?

Why do people question the divinity of GOD?

Why don't people believe the Bible?

It's all been prophesied:

2 Timothy 3:1-7

King James Version

3 This know also, 

that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, 

covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, 

disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, 

false accusers, incontinent, fierce, 

despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, 

lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, 

but denying the power thereof:

2 Peter 3:3-4

all things continue as they were 

from the beginning of the creation.

People are not reminded of how it was during the time of Noah.

Either that, or they were not taught it, from day one.

Perhaps, many are not born again.

Or, if they're born again, they've backslid.

Others could be indifferent.

And yet the Rapture looms, just around the corner.

We need the SPIRIT of GOD to understand Scripture.

And to believe in the urgency of the times.

Matthew 24:37-39

37 But as the days of Noah were, 

so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood 

they were eating and drinking, 

marrying and giving in marriage, 

until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, 

and took them all away; 

so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

2 Peter 3:5-6

5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, 

that by the word of God the heavens were of old, 

and the earth standing out of the water 

and in the water:

6 Whereby the world that then was, 

being overflowed with water, 

perished:

People also don't realize what GOD has reserved for the righteous.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven 

with a shout, 

with the voice of the archangel, 

and with the trump of God: 

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain 

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, 

to meet the Lord in the air: 

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

And what GOD has reserved for the wicked.

Job 38:22-23

22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? 

or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

23 Which I have reserved 

against the time of trouble, 

against the day of battle and war?

2 Peter 3:7

7 But the heavens and the earth, 

which are now,

reserved unto fire 

against the day of judgment 

and perdition of ungodly men.

Revelation 16:21

As born again workman, it's my duty to alert you to Bible prophecy.

And to the teachings of JESUS.

As well as how churches can be revitalized.

That we may be worthy of the LORD.

1 Thessalonians 5:23

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; 

and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body 

be preserved blameless 

unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A practical approach was given by Ken Ham:

"How about sharing the gospel 

the way that God does it in the Bible...

by starting at the beginning."

(Sin and death. 

Promise of a Savior.)

That means, we start with the basics.

Ham says to read Genesis 1 to 11.

That becomes our foundation for everything.

Those chapters answer everything we need or want to know.

But, like Ham says, study of Genesis was taken out of schools.

That's why generations X, Y, and Z have become atheists.

It's time to go back to basics.

Begin where it all began.

GENESIS.

That's how we can revitalize churches.

That was what SPIRIT led me to this morning.

Urged to write about it, soon as I woke up.

Talk about 

"BACK to BASICS".

Amazingly, the Ken Ham video I was studying before bedtime, fit right in.

SPIRIT merely picked up where we left off from last night.

FOUNTAIN of LIFE

 

The LORD declared:

Jeremiah 2:13

13 For my people have committed two evils; 

they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, 

and hewed them out cisterns, 

broken cisterns, 

that can hold no water.

What is the "fountain of life"?

Who can have it?

How can one have it?

Scripture tells us more:

Psalm 36:8-9

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied 

with the fatness of thy house; 

and thou shalt make them drink 

of the river of thy pleasures.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: 

in thy light shall we see light.
